How to Install CouchDB on Ubuntu 18.04(NoSQL)

CouchDB is a free and open-source fault-tolerant NoSQL database System maintained by the Apache Software Foundation.

  1. Enabling CouchDB repository:

2. Installing CouchDB on Ubuntu:

Select standalone:

We are installing CouchDB with a single-server standalone mode.

For single-server setup,we can set it to listen on 127.0.0.1.If you are configuring a cluster enter the interface IP address or type 0.0.0.0 which will cause CouchDB to binds to all network interfaces.

Set the admin password for our CouchDB “admin” user.Finally, confirm the password and the CouchDB installation will continue.

CouchDB will start automatically after installation.
